Our Story

Carried In My Heart was born out of a mother’s deepest pain and her unwavering love. After losing her son, Damion, founder Antwanette Summers turned her grief into purpose, creating a space where no mother would have to walk this road alone.

Through Carried In My Heart, we provide community, education, and healing resources for mothers navigating life after the loss of an adolescent or young adult child. What began as one mother’s journey to find hope again has grown into a movement of compassion and connection. A reminder that while our children may no longer be with us in body, their light continues to guide us forward.

Here, we walk together. We honor their memories. And we carry them in our hearts always.
Meet the Founder
In the aftermath of loss, Antwanette found herself navigating profound grief with little connection to other mothers who shared similar experiences. Through deep inner work and spiritual reflection, she learned to walk with her grief and transform it into purpose.

A proud mother of two daughters and wife to a caring husband, Antwanette’s life is rooted in love, faith, and family. As the owner of Birthing Tranquilly Doula Services, she honors the sacredness of birth and the transformative journey of motherhood. Her experience as a doula deepened her understanding that life and loss are both sacred transitions deserving of compassion and support.

Antwanette is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to further serve the community through grief and emotional healing. Carried in My Heart stands as both a tribute to Damion’s light and a testament to her lifelong commitment to helping others find peace, purpose, and connection through love and remembrance.
